Big Ten Pub Crawl August 21st Registration from 3-5 p.m. at Tavern 99 Crawl from 3-10 p.m. For the 5th straight year, Big Ten alumni, friends, family, and simply dedicated beer drinkers gather for one BIG party with hundreds of Fun-loving, College Football Ready fans. What: The 20th Annual Big Ten Picnic.  Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Brats, Soda, and Beer are all provided.  MSU and Penn State people are asked to bring Potato Salad, Beans, Cole Slaw, etc to help keep the costs down.  Other schools will provide the following... Braves vs Detroit Tigers baseball game and tailgate!

Join your Spartan and other Big Ten friends at our Big Ten Baseball outing! Date: June 27th game against the Tigers Tailgate: 11am - 1pm,  Braves game starts at 1:35 Cost: for the game and all-you-can-eat tailgate: $37 Seats: are located in the Field Pavilion Shane's Rib Shack will cater the tailgate and it will include Shredded BBQ Chicken, Shredded BBQ Pork, Texas Toast, Macaroni and Cheese, and Baked Beans. It's time for our biggest outing of the year, the Morten Andersen Scramble!  The outing is May 14th and this year we will be featuring the "Battle of the MSU Athletes".  It will be the football players against the basketball players against the hockey players in a game that none of them can play!  The teams will consist of captain Morten Andersen and his team of Eddie Smith, Mike Dissinger  and a "draftee" for the football players verses captain Steve Smith with Eric Snow, Kevin Willis and a player to be named later in an epic and fun filled battle, for hockey it is Pete Wenzel, Darryl DiPace ,Ken Paraskevin and perhaps Jim Slater of the Thrashers. We'll let you know the exact teams as we get closer.  They will all be battling for the coveted Mark Hollis "Your handicap is what?" Trophy that will be announced by MSU Athletic Director Mark Hollis at the pre-game breakfast. Of course MSU Head Football coach Mark Dantonio will be there to give us some insights as to the upcoming football season including his outstanding new recruits. Unfortunately, we will have to limit  the outing to the first 128 players to sign up so sign up early! This will sell out early.   MSUAA members get a discount so if you are not a member, join today. Big Ten Networking event tomorrow night!

Career Day with John Hill Director of Career Services, MSU

In the 21st century it is critical to have a "Plan B" for your career, and to know how to use social networking tools in case the worst happens. John Hill, MSU Director of Career Services, will be coming down from East Lansing to show you what you MUST do in order to keep in the mainstream and how to do it.  Seriously, you don't want to miss this event! It will be held at Hudson Grille, 942 Peachtree St. (near 10th Street) on Tuesday April 20th from 6:30 until 9:00. MSU Wine Tasting April 17th

Our MSU Wine Tasting and Program will be held at Parish Foods and Goods in Inman Park on Saturday, April 17th, beginning at 7 pm.  We will be featuring 5-6 wines from Tuscany, Italy along with delicious meat and cheese plates.  The program will last about 1 to 1-1/2 hours. There is a restaurant upstairs for those interested in dining before or after the wine tasting.   The cost is $27 per person for MSUAA members and $32.00 for non-members. Eric Snow Book Signing  2010-01-28 Eric Snow Book Signing Thursday January 28th, 6:30 pm Central Library Auditorium Atlanta-Fulton Public Library System One Margaret Mitchell Square Atlanta, GA 30303 One of MSU's greatest basketball players of all time, and Atlanta resident, Eric Snow has written an outstanding book on leadership. We are helping Eric launch his new book at a "Book Signing" on January 28th at the Central Library Auditorium.  Bring your camera and meet the 14 year NBA player and MSU all star! When it comes to professional athletes and their outside activities, few have been labeled and encompassed the term "community ambassador" better than current Cleveland Cavaliers co-captain and NBA veteran Eric Snow. Remember the MSU vs Penn State "Food Fight".  Now we get to celebrate!  YEAH!!! We have invited the PSU President and her board to help us root for a victory over U/M on Janary 26th at Jocks and Jills Galleria.  And, of course, as part of the price for losing they are going to be the head cheerleaders for ole MSU! This friendly competition brought in 740 lbs of food donations to the Atlanta Food Bank for the holidays.  It was a win-win for all and if we can beat Michigan in basketball it will be PERFECT!

MSU Basketball Outing!

MSU Annual Meeting December 1st at Jocks and JIlls

It is time for our MSU Alumni Club's ANNUAL MEETING, where we elect our Club's officers and establish the Board of Directors for 2010.  It will be held at Jocks and Jills Galleria on December 1st starting at 7:30pm.  There will be FREE refreshments for those attending.  The meeting will be over well in advance of the MSU VS North Carolina in the Big Ten vs ACC Challenge which starts at 9:00pm so you can stay if you like and join the crowd for this BIG game.
